Cisco IP Commuinicator configuration with VMware View

Hello,

My org is in the process ot deploying virtual desktops for end users and would like to use Cisco IP Communicator with it.  The VMware sessions use a different MAC address each time, so it doesn't appear that we will be able to configure the CIPC with it.  Instead, I would like to hardcode a MAC in the "Use this Device Name" field.  It works fine until I log out of the VMware session and log back in (in which case, the Device Name uses the new MAC address which is weird since I had hardcoded it - why would it change?)  Has anyone worked through this issue before?

Hi,

Cisco IP Communicator is not supported in VMWare, Citrix, Terminal Services, Remote Desktop or other thin client environments. The software is not design to work in your environment.
