HI, I have installed CISCO IP Communicator onto a user laptop and after first installation it worked fine.
now each time the user logs in and launches the app, the app opens but the display remains black and doent'nt show any text.
if i log onto the laptop as a different user the display shows fine.
i have reinstalled to see if it resolved with now luck.

whats the version of OS hosting the CIPC ? whats the version of CIPC ?
can you right click the CIPC and select run as administrator ?

I've the same issue. My display is always black.
I'm using Windows 7 64bit.
I'm admin and also started the tool with admin rights.
The version I'm using is 7.0.6.0.
7.0 is not supported on 64 bit systems:
you might need to bring it to 8.6 and run it in compatibility mode
That's interesting, because it was running before. I can download the version 8?
