noorudden

Level 1

Hello,

I have started configuring Voip setup and following i am using:

Router: C3845-MB

IOS: Cisco IOS Software, 3800 Software (C3845-SPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

CME: Version 7.1 Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express

Phones: 7911G

Errors"

1) Error Update Locale

2) Clock Time Stamp is showing 3 hours behind (East Africa). But on Cisco Phones i have managed to sync time by configuring Clock Time zone in

Telephony Service. And Show clock is also showing correct time but time stamp is incorrect.

I have searched many forums but failed to find a correct solution.

3) How to configure Dial out plan through Fxo card which has multiple Telco lines, and Call conferencing and transfering.

Hi.

Since your CME version is 7.0 (because of your 12.4 iOS) you can download locale files from https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=277641082&catid=278875240&release=7.0.1.1&softwareid=282897001&sortparam=

Extract this tar with archive command into Flash main directory or a new one and add tftp bind command.

Hello Carl,

Thank you very much for fast and proper response. Now out of above only one error is still showing and that is Error Updating locale and when i scroll down i see also DNS Unknown host and SEP001E135CCA2D.cnf.xml.

Again thank you and please tell me some solution for this last error.

Hi.

For DNS error, you can avoid to give DNS to IP phones, so remove it from ip dhcp pool EDF-Voice.

For Locale error, please activate a debug tftp packets and post the output.

Thanks.

Regards

Carlo

Thanks Carlo for such a great help. now if you dont mind can you answer these two following questions.

1) I have configured Caller-id to be enabled on FXO port but receiving unknown number.

2) and when a outside user immediately disconnects the phone. the voip should also be disconnected immediately but instead it keeps ringing until timeout expires which i have configured 20 secs in telephony service.

Thanks

Hi.

On your voice ports add these entries:

cptone (your country tone)

caller-id enable
supervisory disconnect anytone
no battery-reversal
caller-id alerting line-reversal
caller-id alerting dsp-pre-allocate

Hi.

Please activate a debug vpm all and try to call in.

Attach the output here.

Does the call disconnect properly now?

Carlo

After configuring the above config. two problems are arising.

1) If i disconnect in the middle it keeps ringing on VOIP for 5 seconds

2) and after disconnection FXO keeps it alive for few more seconds so if another caller tries again they receive busy tone.

Hello

After adding two timeouts Fxo disconnects quickly but still stuck on Caller ID.

voice-port 0/0/0
 supervisory disconnect anytone
 ring number 2
 no battery-reversal
 cptone GB
 timeouts call-disconnect 1
 timeouts wait-release 1
 connection plar 200
 impedance complex2
 caller-id enable
 caller-id alerting line-reversal
 caller-id alerting dsp-pre-allocate

Thanks in Advance

Hi Nooruddin

Try also caller-id alerting ring 2 and post also the output of a show diag.

Thanks

Hi Nooruddin.

Can you please post a show diag?

I suspect that you FXO module does not support callerID.

get_fxo_caller_id:Caller ID receive failed.

This could also depend on your TSP and you should ask them if they support callerID on that line.

Please let me know

Its VIC2-4FXO (Universal) and i checked the Document and saying it supports ok let me try TSP first on CLI phone.

secondly for conferencing call, transfering and allowing PSTN line to only few people do you i need to configure and what?
