Hi, looking for help!
Our company has Cisco IP Phone 7914 and they had purchased it a long time back. Now, I was trying to update the extension names as it was already outdated. The problem is we don't have the software or either any login through Cisco Unified CM Administration for us to update the extensions. Is there any way where I can change the names thru online only? Your suggestions and help will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance....

You cant really run these phones autonomously as the have no local dial plan. So you need to connect them to a pbx like cucm or asterisk. There is plenty documentationon how to chamge firmware for asterisk usage for example.

I am really Sorry but I am not a technician nor an IT person so basically, I don't have any idea which firmware. I only know the model series which is the Cisco IP Phone 7960 series.
