When a Cisco IP phone is replaced under warranty, does the replacement phone receive the same warranty coverage as the original phone, meaning will it will have the same duration and terms as the remaining warranty period on the original device? Or, will the replacement have a new 12 months warranty period?

1. Duration of Hardware Warranty
1.1 1 Year Limited Warranty
Unless the device is close to the end of life
a) In the event of discontinuance of product manufacture, the term of the hardware warranty will end on the Last Date of Support (LDOS) published in the product End of Life announcement available here.

Thanks for the reply, however I don't think that gave the answer to my question!
If i have a faulty device which is under a 1yr warranty, when it gets replaced under warranty, will the replacement get a new 1 year warranty period or will it inherit the remaining warranty period on the original faulty device?
For example, which is correct statement below?:
Example 1: original purchased IP Phone which is faulty has 7 months warranty period remaining, when replacement IP Phone received for the faulty one it will have new 12 months warranty,
Example 2: original purchased IP Phone which is faulty has 7 months warranty period remaining, when replacement IP Phone is received for the faulty one it will inherit the 7 months warranty remaining.
