Cisco Phone 7965 series

Our school has the 7965 phone series.  Sometimes, when using the intercom our voicemail comes on over the PA system.  We know the error we made to cause our voicemail to cut in, but is there any way of stopping our voicemail from announcing from beginning to end over the PA?

You mention intercom and PA (paging), those are typically 2 different things, how is the PA engaged? What system are you using, if CUCM what do you use for PA (i.e. informants)?

How do they voicemail kicks in, do you press messages button on the phone while connected to PA?

Not sure how PA is engaged.  We press Services, then press the Page All button.
