cisco-rdn - # forwarding not catching unity forwarding

I am having the telco (AT&T) forward a legacy # to the new main number. Calling the new main nummber, the call works perfectly. When calling the old main # that is forwarding at the carrier level, it will not match and send to unity.

The call flow is as follows:

new # is in a translation pattern to route and then a CTI Route Point is setup to match the incoming DID and send it to Unity. Within Unity there is a forward routing rule with a matching forwarding station equals statement of the new main # that send it to the correct call handler.

This works great.

Now when you call the legacy # and AT&T forwards the call to the new number, it hits the wildcard pattern in CUCM and routes to a wildcard receiver in Unity.

Doing a debug with the voip ccapi comand i see there is an entry in the cisco-rdn field where there is not in the new number call setup. \

Could this be altering how CUCM handles the call? If so, how do you disregard that ccCallInfo field?

Hi Harry,

Does it mean that the called number is still the legacy old number? If thats correct why dont you use a translation pattern in cucm to change it to your new number?

If you send the output of your debug voip ccapi inout and give us details of called number and redirecting number may be we can think of a way to resolve this..

Your comment is correct, the called number is the leacy number. The called number is not ported over to our SIP trunk yet so I have to relay upon AT&T to forward the number on their side rather the use a translation pattern and a mask on CUCM.

I dont see any issues with the dialled number. It looks okay to me..

The called number is the new number: 8165216650

The logs show that this number is redirected from the old legacy number: 8165315111

It is possible that CUCM is sending the redirected number  8165315111 to Unity and because this number doesnt exist on unity, you dont get the desired greeting/voicemail.

You need to use the port monitor tool, to look at the digits that are passed to unity..If it is 8165315111, then you need to configure a routing rule that will forward calls from this number to the new number

Thanks for the tip on the port monitoring tool. I always forgot Unity utilizes ther RTMT in addition to CUCM. I utilize it all the time with CUCM but always forget that Unity works in it too.

So, you were correct and I actually had it setup correct to capture the redirected # (legacy #) but i had all the conditions in one forward routing rule thinking it would be "or" statements, but alas it is "and" statements and it needed its own forwarding rule within Unity.

i was trying to create multiple conditions for one rule and obviously it wasnt working. thanks man.
