I'm in the process of deplying presence 6.0(6) and have come across a bit of a problem with the phone line presence state, busy,available,DND etc presence states all work fine.
Phone line presence on the UPC devices show 'on phone' status correctly as well too, however UDP's with shared line instances don't appear to be working when the device CUPC is used with the deskphone setting.
The current version of Presence is 6.0(6) and the clients are running version 7.0(2).
Any ideas would be very helpful

Go to your UDP. Then go to the DN (line) configuration. At the bottom of the page, see if you have end user associated.
Ok, if it doesn't work, we want to simplfy the picture.
Don't test UDP. Pick a physical phone and go to device > DN > at the bottom of the page, associate an end user to the line. See if that works.
If that didn't work, it means you haven't set up phone presence properly. A couple things to check:
1) Have you created a SIP trunk on CUCM and point it to CUPS?
2) Was the end user licensed for CUPC and CUP?
3) Have you reset the SIP trunk and restarted Presence Engine?
