                   Hello guys!

I have a Build of Materials to order an additional server (Subscriber) for clustering a Cisco Unity Connection 8.5 (Publisher) already in production. The BoM is as follows:

For Server Platform (Subscriber):

<TABLE style="WIDTH: 548pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=730 mcestyle="width: 548pt; border-collapse: collapse;">

<TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" mcestyle="height: 15pt;">

<TD style="WIDTH: 239pt; HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20 width=318 mcestyle="width: 239pt; height: 15pt;">MCS7825I5-K9-UCC2</TD>

<TD style="WIDTH: 309pt" width=412 mcestyle="width: 309pt;">CUCxn 8.5 MCS-7825-I5, 2x250 HDD, 4GB RAM IBM</TD></TR>

<TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" mcestyle="height: 15pt;">

<TD style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20 mcestyle="height: 15pt;">UNITY-PWR-US

Power Cord - US, Can, Mex, PR, Phil, Ven, Tai, Col, Ecu

<TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" mcestyle="height: 15pt;">

<TD style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20 mcestyle="height: 15pt;">CON-SNT-7825I5K9

SMARTNET 8X5XNBD CUCxn 8.5 MCS-7825-I5, 2x250 HDD, 3GB RA

For license Upgrade:

Unity Connection 8.x HA PAK

<TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" mcestyle="height: 15pt;">

<TD style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20 mcestyle="height: 15pt;">Included: L-UNITYCN8-PAK

Unity Connection 8.x PAK

<TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" mcestyle="height: 15pt;">

<TD style="HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20 mcestyle="height: 15pt;">CON-ESW-LUNITYCN

ESSENTIAL SW Unity Connection 8.x, SW Feature License

The exisitng Publisher has 96 ports. My question is the following:

Does the Subscriber needs to have the same amount of voice ports as the Publisher? It is neccessary to order the L-UNCN8-ADD-PORT with the same quantity as the Publisher?

Thanks in advanced guys!

The servers in a Unity Connection cluster would ideally have the same number of ports.  I believe the port SKU is (or used to be) specific to HA (e.g.,

L-UNCN8-ADD-HA-PT).  You should be able to verify the part number for the HA when you make an order.
