Hello guys!
Im trying to understand how to record greetings using a phone. I read the Setting Up the 8.x Cisco Unity Greetings Administrator document but still kind o confused about it. Do I have to create a CTI route point ot should the same one created to access the auto-attendant should be use? Please help. Thanks in advanced!

You can create a dedicated number or use an existing call handler and map one of the caller input option to point to "Greeting Administrator" Conversation.
If you want dedicated number, buid cti rp, set it to forward to VM, build a call handler that is set to this conversation under Standard Greeting --> After greeting option.
The user will need to be owner of the call handlers that he/she needs to record greetings for and Greeting Administrator Role.

Hi Nephtali,
As Chris nicely noted (+5), you can have multiple ways to reach the Greetings Administrator
Conversation. It's nice to have a number that can be reached from outside the office using
a DID # so that Greetings for Call Handlers can be changed in case of an emergency or "bad weather" day
One of the easieat ways is to just map a key off an existing handler via - "Caller input" >
Greetings Administrator Conversation
You can even put a button on your phone that matches the set up Chris noted, but with a "Direct"
routing rule to the Greetings Administrator Conversation if you have to change these all the time.
Cheers!
