Cisco Unity Connection8.5; Migration of CUC_5000_users to CUC_10000_users on UCS C210-M2 server

Cisco Unity Connection8.5 with 5000 Voice Messaging User Capacity is running on UCS C210-M2 server.

Customer wants to migrate to CUC with 10000 user capacity, i.e; Migrating from Cisco Unity Connection, CUC_5000_users to CUC_10000_users.

As per the standard OVA Template for Unity Connection, CUC_5000_users would require vCPU=2  & CUC_10000_users would require vCPU=4

Need to understand if at the time of migration from CUC_5000_users to CUC_10000 users, do we simply need to reload the OVA template for 10000 users and it would on its own takeup/reserve 4vCPU core or we need to manually allocate 4vCPU core and then reload the CUC_10000_users OVA Template.

Please share Cisco Unity Connection8.5 migration Guide (if any) explaining how to migrate CUC_5000_users to CUC_10000_users on UCS C210-M2 Server.

Thanks in Advance

Since the HDDs required between them differ, this would be the same as changing HW on MCS.

You'll build the 10K OVA, install CUC with same info as old VM and then restore a backup of the 5K VM.

Also, CUC does not support adding CPUs.

If this was not CUC and the HDDs size were the same you could just adjust vCPUs/RAM.
