does anyone knows how to remotely forward a fax number to an another fax number? Both FAX machines are connected using VG224 box. We are currently running CUCM 9.0

The procedure will depend upon the protocol that is running on the VG224 gateway. i.e. SCCP, SIP, MGCP or H323

I would appreciate if you can let me know about the procedure. I was wrong about the remote forwarding. Users just want to go to a fax machine and manually call forward to another fax machine connected to VG224.

Hi Gary,

There is no way that I know of to allow users to forward all calls to another destination using the phone keypad on the fax machine if the gateway is using MGCP.

It is possible if the gateway were running SCCP and feature codes are enabled.

To forward all calls the user would dial **1 followed by the destination number.

To cancel the call forward all the code is **2

Hi,

Presuming you have configured the VG224 as SCCP GW, it should be straight forward.

Just go to the Extension Number of the Fax and enter the CFWD All or any other conditional CFWD to the desired number and you should be good.
