cisco voicemessage.wav won't play on windows system

Hi,

I am facing a problem with regards to voicemail file.

when i recevied the voicemail from voicemail server in outlook i am able to play it via viewmail installed on the system, when i am save the voicemessage file on the local system then i am not able to play the file. i tried on all players like vlc windows media DVX player etc.

I am using windows 7 system/ unity conntection 8.6 / Mirosoft exchange 2010.

Please let me know the same.

The message codec is probably set to G.729 which is licensed. ViewMail is able to play it since it has the codec builtin; however, Windows does not. You should check the Message Recording configuration. The most common setting is G.711. This will increase the message size so be sure that your mailbox quotas are set accordingly.
