CLI Access Denied

Hello,

When I try and use the CLI via Putty for the CUCA  (Cisco Unity Connection version: 10.5.1.10000-7 ) I get access denied using the same administrator account that has full privileges to do any other task. It’s the default and only one on the system. When I view roles and System Administrator, I don’t see any obvious roles I would need to add to the account for CLI

Is there another completely different account for CLI?

Does some security setting have to be enabled for me to use the CLI?

Is there a role I need to assign that account?

First time post so hope this is right loacation/format and I rarely work much with this device.

Thanks

OS access is not handled via any GUI, which seems to be what you were trying to do.

CCMAdmin, uses a user which is stored in the CUCM DB, and are configured in the GUI,

OS access uses a user stored in the OS, and are configured via CLI.

So, yes, they're different users.

Hi Jamie, all

Thanks for clearing that up. Since this was set up years ago by someone else and I don't have those cred's, is there a way to create a new user or reset the current one without resetting the device. I have physical access as well as the GUI if that helps

Thanks,

Alan
