I am using a Cisco Call Manger Express. I am trying to get Caller ID to work for inbound calls from the outside. I am getting the incoming number displayed but not the name. I did a debug isdn q931 and it showed the name incoming into the switch but the name is not displayed on the phone. Please tell me how I need to set the phones or trunks to display the name and number if this is even possible with this version of CCM and 7941 phones. Here is the output and version.

Hi,
can you try: ¨isdn supp-service name calling¨?

Thank you very much for the valuable advice. That resolved the problem. Can you please tell me where this is listed in the Cisco documentation? Being an old Nortel Option series tech I am still trying to learn the Cisco VoIP product line.
Again, THANKS!!

Hi, cisco documentation is mainly made of configuration guides and alphabetical command reference, all freely accessible from the support page for the IOS version you are using. So this command would be in the page for "isdn".
Thanks for the nice rating and good luck!

Hi Ben,
I feel your pain here :) I spent most of my career working with Nortel products and NTP documentation. Here is an example of what my friend Paolo is referencing;
Cisco IOS Voice Command Reference
Hope this helps!

Thanks Rob, there are some useful commands in here. I book marked it in my favorites.
Like you I am accustomed to the Nortel and kept looking under the phone programming for a CLID feature similar to CPND. Now I know it is in the trunk programming section, in this case the D channel of the T1 listed as ISDN.
Thanks
