Cluster ID

Hi,

What is the impact if I need to change the CUCM Cluster ID from its default "StandAloneCluster" to "NYC" for instance?. Provided that the same cluster is integrated to Unity, UCCX, IM&P, CUEAC.

Any impact on certificates?

Version 9.1.2

Per Cisco documentation, the Cluster ID is much relevant in the CDR records.

Thanks

There shouldn't be any problem for certificates unless cluster are in mixed mode .

There is really no impact on changing it from default standalone cluster.

Aside from CDR, that is used as a unique identifier for ILS for example, I don't believe that is used anywhere in the communication with other products.

If i rename the cluster ID, a pop-up comes up "Restart all the services....." And the only option is "OK" Attached the screenshot.
Can we rename the cluster ID during production hours?

You still have to restart the services sometime.  Just schedule a cluster reboot.

Apart from the CDR records, there is no impact on changing the cluster ID. I have done it various times, without any loss of service.
