CMBE5K AD2008 replacement

Hello,

I have a customer who is looking to replace their AD 2003 systems with Windows 2008 servers, and I am trying to determine what the effects will be if I point their Callmanager Business Edition 5000 solution from the one AD system to another? They use LDAP sync at this point, and I am unsure what will happen to any user accounts if there are any changes from the schema of 2003 versus the schema of 2008. The customer has pointed their Unity Connection accounts to a hosted Exchange service which will not be a part of this server migration, plus the customer also uses UCCX.

Has anyone out there tried this operation and did they find any problems?

Assuming you keep the same AD attribute as userID and they don't change, you shouldn't have any problem.

CUCM really doesn't care about schema updates as it only syncs specific fields and don't look into anything else (at least not until 9.X where you can configure extra fields to sync)
