CME 10.5 SIP phones with Shared line problem

I have CME 10.5 with SIP only phones.  I have a shared line programmed for a DN and appears on two phones.  If one of those phones are not registered, the CFNA will not go to CUE.  If both phones are plugged in it works fine.

Hi AT,

There are a couple of known bugs for this issue but that is for scenarios involving a mix of SIP and SCCP shared lines

You may still check if the IOS running on CME router is one of the fixed ones as mentioned in CSCub96558.

If there are no further inputs on this post you may engage TAC.

Thank you for the info.  I am running 15.4.  I do not see it on the fixed list even though it is newer than the fixed 15.3 version.  Do I have to downgrade ?

AT

Hi AT,

The newer version should contain the fix for this bug so i would not recommend a downgrade. If the phones are running the latest firmware then i would recommend opening a TAC case to see if this is a bug or some other issue.

11 and 10 firmware for 7841 phones does not fix it.  IOS is 15.4.  it is SIP phones only no SCCP phones on system. Will open a case.

I found you need to wait until the phone unregisters before it behaves correctly.  This took a full five minutes before it worked correctly for me. I don'y think SIP hones use a keepalive so it has to timeout and unregister before it workes correctly. I did update to 15.5.
