CME 7.1 Permanent user licence expired

Hi,

I did add permanent licence upgrade on  a C1861-SRST-C-B/K9 to upgrade from 8 to 15 user.

The licence file is on flash and when I try a "licence install flash:xxxxxxxxxxxx.lic it makes an error as it is allready installed :

Installing...Feature:c1861-srst-15u-upgrade...Failed:

% Error: Duplicate license

0/1 licenses were successfully installed

1/1 licenses were existing licenses

0/1 licenses were failed to install

But this morning he makes me an reject from phones like as I where not with this upgrade. I had to remove phones until I rich the value of 12 phones (what is the defaul value for 8 user). The indication of 8 week 4 days that I find in the sh licence fits probably the time since the installation but as it is a permanent licence get with the provided PAK number, I can't undestand wy he wants someting else....

any Idea why I had this error? All seams to be correct.....

Try updating IOS to latest, and installing the license again.

Solved by TAC:

In fact, the router 1861-SRST need a licence of c1861-srst-c-15u-upgrade

So the delivered licence c1861-srst-15u-upgrade from Cisco was the wrong one.

As it takes 2 week case exchanges and several Cisco departements involved, I put the answer in case of some one has the same trouble.

After the 2 week, the TAC did deliver the right licence and the probleme was solved...

In fact, it sems that when U buy a 1861 bundle with CUE, U have to upgrade the users and the CUE, even if U do not need the CUE part to be upgraded. In my case, I use just one voice mail box for out of hours messages and so I did not need the upgrade from CUE but I hade to upgrade them as part of the original bundel.
