CME 7.1 with SIP trunk for calls

Hello,

I have CME with sip trunk and when calls from ip phone to outside, it gives silence but as i press Acct softkey it gives beep and then i press << theis softkey it given ringback tone,,,

what could be the issue and how can fix it?

Hi,

Generally speaking, you don't need to connect the cable physically to your router as long as IP reachability is established. However, looking at your config I see lot of things to be done.

1. You need to create a new subnet for WAN (either physical or subinterface). You can't share the same subnet for both LAN/WAN. Based on your current static routes and DHCP you will create asymmetric routing which will break connections.

2. You need to prepare your gateway for SIP trunk. I am share some config below but still you need to configure inbound dial-peers, translation-rules, etc.

I would love to assist here but really want you to read more. You can't copy/paste a config from any document without understanding what is inside it.

The reason of this forum, to my understanding, for people to assist each  other to get things working but it should be in the right approach.

Please spend some time to understand basic CME configuration and basic SIP trunk integration.

please find the attached show run of cme..

as i dial the number..it accept whole number but wait for long time and as i press Acct on ip phone and back softkey it provides the ringback tone..

why is this happening and how can i fix it/
