CME 9.0 Hunt Group Problem

James Hawkins

Hi,

I have a CME 9.0 system on which I have configured an ephone-hunt list as shown below:

!

ephone-hunt 2 longest-idle

pilot 54756222

list 54756235, 54756275, 54756255, 54756245, 54756332, 54756203

final 50000600

timeout 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

!

I am using Extension Mobility The ephone-dn's etc. are configured as shown below:

!

voice user-profile 235

pin 1471

user 0040816 password cisco

number 54756235 type normal

feature-button 1 HLog

!

!

ephone-dn-template  2

call-forward max-length 13

call-forward busy 50000600

call-forward noan 50000600 timeout 17

hold-alert 30 originator

allow watch

!

ephone-dn  235  dual-line

number 54756235

ephone-dn-template 2

ephone-hunt login

!

The users are able to log in/out of the hunt group using the HLog key.

When at least one user is logged in everything works ok - if the call is not answered it is forwarded to the destination specified in the final command.

However when no users are logged in to the hunt group the call is not forwarded to the final destination and callers hear fast-busy.

If anyone can suggest how this can be resolved I will be very grateful.

Hi James,

The first thing I would try is to add 1 DN that is used in the logged-out profile

to the ephone-hunt list. So lets say 54756215 is a DN used in the logged-out

profile for EM, add it to the list as such;

list 54756235, 54756275, 54756255, 54756245, 54756332, 54756203, 54756215

timeout 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

Cheers!

Rob

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately the problem remained when I tried it.

Luckily for me the customer asked me to remove the hunt group and just configure a physical phone with the pilot number in the same pickup group - the users then pickup calls when they hear the physicl phone ringing.

They had this on their old system and asked to replicate - pretty basic but it got me out of a hole!

Thanks

James

Hey James,

Good stuff my friend

Customers changing their minds is usually very painful, but in this case their

indecisiveness rocks!! Hahahahaha

Cheers!

Rob

PS: +5 for including your final solution. Thanks for this!
