[CME 9.1] Ip phone 3905 fails to send DTMF tones to external network.

Hi all!

We have three kinds of SIP phones in our CME 9.1: 3905, 6941 and 8941. All phones except 3905 send DTMF tones successfully via our operator. Here is "debug voice ccapi detail" when extension "206" (ip phone 3905) calls to external phone 93274343 and tries to send digits. Config is in attach. Also some part of config here:

Version of CME is 9.1

Version of IOS is 15.3(1)T (also tested in 15.2 - the same issue)

All ip phones have the latest firware (9-2-2-0), also I have already downgraded some of them (9-2-1-0)  - the issue persists.

Hi,

I think that the best is to capture a sniffer trace on the phone directly, we will be able to see if the phone itself is sending the digits.

You can also enable some debugs:

deb voice ccapi inout

deb ccsip messages

deb ccsip media

That should be enough to isolate the problem

Hi!

Thanks for pointing me to ther right debugs. There I noteced, that on Cisco IP phone 3905 kpml need to be implemented, not rtp-nte.

Here is a debug that revealed this issue

We had the same issue with our 3905 and the dtmf-relay sip-kpml worked fine after a reset.
