Hi all,

I have a cme and cucm that are connected via a ppoe link between offices. Both sides can ping each other but the calls are not being connected.what or where could be the issue? I have a debug of the attached call test attached. 209 is calling 113. The setup was working before but service providers have been changed!

Thanks.

1) As per the provided logs the disconnect cause value is 63 and 38. Which means

Cause No. 63 - service or option not available. unspecified.
This cause is used to report a service or option not available event only when no other cause in the service or option not available class applies.

Cause No. 38 - network out of order.
This cause indicates that the network is not functioning correctly and that the condition is likely to last a relatively long period of time e.g., immediately re-attempting the call is not likely to be successful.

2) Check the CUCM SDL Log to see if CUCM is able to receive the SIP/H323 messaged from CUCME.

3) Check for any ACL, Firewall Rules blocking these ports

4) Disable SIP/H323 Inspection in Firewall

5) you can try to do a packet capture on both ends to verify if issue is from Provider.

Hi Haris,

Thanks for the reply. I will be troubleshooting the issue as you have recommended, however, i just want to add that both sides use skinny protocol.
