CME and CUE downgrade

Hello,

I have an AIM-CUE module in a 3825 router running CME 8.6.  and CUE 7.4.  Can I downgrade both versions?  For CME is that as simple as downgrading the IOS?  For CUE can I back up 7.4, downgrade to 7.02 and then restore from the 7.4 backup?

What is your reason for downgrading?  That is not an usual thing to do.

Hello Chris,

This is for my lab.  The AIM module will only go up to  a certain revision for Unity Express and the version of CME running on my router is 8.6.  The version of CUE I had to install to make it compatible requires licenses.  Since this is for my lab I don;t want to purchase licenses and I think licenses for CUE 7.x are EOS anyway.

My though was to revert to a version of both CME and CUE that do not require licenses.

Is that possible.
