CME Reloads on netmeeting call

Hi,

I have a customer using CME (IOS ver 12.4XC). He complained that the router reload on netmeeting call. You only need to fill the Router's (TFTP server) ip address in the gateway setting in the netmeeting then every time calls are made, the router instantly reload. Has anybody had the same problem with this cause i cannot find the similar case in cisco PSIRT? I think this a serious problem cause it can lead to DoS attack considering how easy the attack to be done.

Unfortunately IOS crashes due to software bugs are not rare. Not necessarily these are handled by PSIRT, else they would have their hands quite full, let me tell you.

Your only option is to upgrade to latest release (11T or 11XJ as of now) and if it happens again, open a case with the TAC.

Be prepared to supply all the required traces, work with the engineer to have him/her reproduce the problem in lab, and file a bug. It can be a lengthy and painful process.
