CME to Grandstream trunk for voice mail alone

Good day all, 

Would CME ( for calls) and Grandstream UCM ( voice mail alone ) be doable. Dont want to end up buying Server/unity connection. Any docs on how to achieve this would be very helpful .

Make a sip dial peer to grand stream and try. 
I don’t see any challenge, but getting a document will be difficult for this scenario.

Even the mwi should work with sip unsolicited
