CME7.1 and Pin Code (after-hours block) Problem

Hi All,

I need to configure Pin Code dialing for a customer. I have followed the suggestions from other forum users with the After-Hours Blocking process.

Below is the configuration I have implemented to test with :

  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

!

!

dial-peer voice 83 pots

corlist outgoing Call-Cellphones

destination-pattern 0[78][^5].......

!

!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problem is: I press the Login softket and enter the pin number, then, after I dial the last digit of the blocked pattern number, I get a ringout tone with the following debug :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aug 19 09:11:56.866: %VOIPAAA-5-VOIP_CALL_HISTORY: CallLegType 1, ConnectionId 1D3D4CABC97A11E09165C0A27B310858, SetupTime 11:11:53.486 ZA Fri Aug 19 2011, PeerAddress 8031, PeerSubAddress , DisconnectCause 3F  , DisconnectText service or option not available unspecified (63), ConnectTime 11:11:56.866 ZA Fri Aug 19 2011, DisconnectTime 11:11:56.866 ZA Fri Aug 19 2011, CallOrigin 2, ChargedUnits 0, InfoType 2, TransmitPackets 0, TransmitBytes 0, ReceivePackets 0, ReceiveBytes 0

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I remove the block pattern command, the call completes successfully.

Can anyone please assist.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Phil,

I did the same config in my lab and it worked fine .

I only didnt have the corlist config under the dial-peer. Can you tell me what is that corlist you are trying to configure. if there isnt any list, please remove the config and test.

Also with the above config: in that specific time and date, you can only dial 0831231234 , unless and until you are logged in.

To verify if you are logged in. After you press Login soft-key and enter pin 12345:

Issue the command show ephone login to check if the phone is logged in. The output will be as below:

ephone x        Pin enabled:local       Logged-in:TRUE

Hope the above is informative and below is the resource link for configuring call blocking:

Thank you for the reply.

I upgraded the IOS to 15.1 so that I could use FAC on CME 8.5.

I used this guide to help me get it working :

https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3425149

Thanks.

Hi Cyril,

Maybe you are seeing this Restriction;

Note  that logging in to a phone with a PIN only allows the user to override  call blocking that is associated with particular time periods.  ***Blocking patterns that are created with the 7-24 keyword in the  after-hours block pattern command are in effect 7 days a week, 24 hours a  day, and they cannot be overridden by using a PIN.

So you would need to configure something like Philip did in the original post

after-hours day Sun 00:01 23:59

after-hours day Sat 00:01 23:59

after-hours day Mon 00:01 23:59

after-hours day Tue 00:01 23:59

after-hours day Wed 00:01 23:59

after-hours day Thu 00:01 23:59

after-hours day Fri 00:01 23:59

From this good CME doc;

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmeblock.html

Cheers!
