Trying to install SU3 to UCCX 8.0.2.10000-41
Install fails with this error:
There is not enough disk space in the common partition to perform the upgrade. Please use either the Platform Command Line Interface or the Real-Time Monitoring Tool (RTMT) to free space on the common partition
show status reveals:
Disk/active 13148224K 1941196K 11073448K (86%)
Disk/inactive 13148252K 12414920K 65432K (1%)
Disk/logging 45737892K 747532K 42666964K (99%)
I've been hunting through activelog and have deleted some stuff which hasn't freed up much space. Can't get to the common disk space from CLI.
RTMT is giving me 'authentication' error using same credents that I login to the CLI.
Anyone have any ideas? Don't tell me it's a bug version because that's why I'm upgrading!

You can delete logs from the /common partition by going to the trace configuration page in CUCM and changing the number of files or the size of files. There will be a warning that current log files will be deleted. Or you can go into RTMT and download/delete logs files from there to free space.

Logging and common partition refer to the same. The best way to free up space on the common partition is to delete trace files with RTMT, or lowered the amount of files configured to be saved on the server.

Thanks for the replies, not really what I wanted to hear. As I said I couldn't login into RTMT, getting some kind of denial. Traced it back to some bug that said RTMT (not sure what version) doesn't accept special characters in the pw which of course I had. Regardless I scrapped the whole install (it's a lab setup) and I'm starting from scratch.

For reference:
I originally installed the version listed above. Ran into some bugs installing the CAD agents so I opened a ticket. TAC told me to install SU3. Then I couldn't which is why opened this thread. As I stated I scrapped the whole install and reinstalled everything and did the patch from the install. All is well now.
So guess the reference is don't stay on the base version of this code!
