I uploaded a PNG file in the format required for the 8800's. 800x480x24
I have also listed in the List.XML. When I added to the common phone profile under the background image and check the box to override it does not show up on the phone. Any ideas?
Saved /Desktops/800x480x24/*.png
I see the four graphics I have listed under wallpaper.
Only default displays unless I select the wall paper.

Did you upload it to every cluster node with the Cisco TFTP process activated and then restart that service on those nodes?
Also, you didn’t mention the second image file to be used as the thumbnail.

This is why I was not seeing it. According to the document we need to:
You can apply the phone background images in bulk with the Common Phone Profile. But bulk configuration requires you to disable Enable End User Access to Phone Background Image Setting. For more information on bulk configuration of background images, refer to the "Configure the Common Phone Profile" chapter of Customized Wallpapers Best Practices Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series.)
works under common phone profile.
