Hi Guys,
I have a problem on our deployment. Here's the scenario:
We have deployed VOIP using SIP with 7962, 7942 and 6921 phones. We using 2N Netstar to act as our Call Manager. For addressing, we use DHCP which also gives the TFTP server address. Every configuration text file and things needed on the default loads file are on the TFTP server on a CentOS VM. Aside from the issues on NTP and Corporate Directory on 6921 phones, everything is working fine.
Regarding the Corporate Directory, since we are not using Call Manager on our deployment, I have uploaded an xml file on a web server which contains the directory entries. I have changed the following settings on the xml file.
<directoryURL>http://192.168.4.10/dir.xml</directoryURL>
and
</phoneService>
<phoneService type="1" category="0">
<name>Corporate Directory</name>
<url>http://192.168.4.10/dir.xml</url>
<vendor></vendor>
<version></version>
</phoneService>
These same settings were used on both 6921 and 79xx phones. I have tested the directory on the 79xx phones and they work just fine. However, when I access the Corporate Directory on the 6921 phones, it just displays "File Not Found". I have checked the status messages and no error message comes up.
I am using firmware 9-2-2-7 for the 6921 phones and 9-3-1 for the 79xx phones.
Any help regarding the matter is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pai
Using cisco phone with third party call control is not much discussed here.
You can have better luck on websites like voip-info.org.
Hi,
I faced the same issue, it was a bug in the firmware solved by upgrading to firmware 9.3.1 for 6921series
