I am facing a issue on making G722 codec setting for CP-6945 phone on CME.
IOS = 15.2(3)T2
firmware of CP-6945 = SCCP6945.9-3-1-3
Issue is when the phone is registered to CME, following error is shown.
%VOICE_CODEC-6-FALLBACK: ephone-3: Configured codec is not supported by phone/phone load, configuration retained, the voice codec fallback to g711ulaw
and by "show ephone registered", its codec becomes g711ulaw as follow.
Preferred Codec: g711ulaw (Configured codec g722-64 not supported by phone)
I used to have g722 by CP-6945 on CUCM, and compared phone config file (.xml file), and found the reason was because config file
by CME does not contain <advertiseG722Codec>1</advertiseG722Codec> within <device> tag.
I manually editted the file and confirmed g722 by CP-6945 on CME, but the config file will be overwritten when someone changed ephone config.
If there any proper way to fill "advertiseG722Codec" on phone config file?
