Hello, I have a CP-8831 conference phone. It is fully registered with call manager and you can call it, but a screen pops up saying "Host Not Found" with the option to exit. When you press exit, it goes back to normal for about half a second, a small screen pops up for a split second "Requesting", then immediately goes back to the "Host Not Found" screen. Any thoughts?

Is the 8831 able to answer the phone dispite the error screen, or does the phone continue to ring? Obviously, there is some URL being referenced that is invalid. Do you have any other 8831's that are working? What firmware load are you running? If you want to be particularly clever, you could capture the traffic from the phone when the call comes in. If it is a misconfigured URL, you should be able to see the DNS query or even the HTTP request. But only attempt that if you are comfortable with packet sniffing.

From the phone configuration page, under the ‘External data locations information’ try removing the URL information mentioned in the IDLE field and test it.
