CP-8841 and VPN Access

We have been using regular VPN access for our 79xx phones for some time now.  Now I have an 8841 that I want to configure for the same VPN connection using a certificate through an ASA, but it seems like the "Mobile and Remote Access Through Expressway" feature is not allowing my phone to connect the way my 79xx phones do.

Is there a way to disable this feature?  The documentation states it is enabled by default?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Did you follow this:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/8811_8841_8851_8861/10_5/english/adminguide/P881_BK_C0632068_00_cisco-ip-phone-8811-8841/P881_BK_C0632068_00_cisco-ip-phone-8811-8841_chapter_01011.html

Off-premises user logs into the enterprise network with VPN, after deploying Mobile and Remote Access Through Expressway.

Users must configure the Alternate TFTP setting (Network settings >Alternate TFTP setting).

See the Set Up a Phone for Use with VPN section in the "Advanced Operations" chapter of Cisco IP Phone 8811, 8841, 8851, 8851NR, and 8861 User Guide for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 10.5.

Yes, I have that enabled because that is how we have the 79xx's set up.  But I still get the pop up window that looks like it wants me to log into expressway.
