Create an extension that forwards to a cell phone (no ip phone to assign ext to)

So, I was asked to create an extension that forwards to cell phone as this new hire does not have a workstation yet.  Browsing around through forums, I saw someone mention create a translation pattern.  I see we have some in place now, but not sure on how this process goes.  Also saw someone said add via DN, but I was under impression if you do that, than unless you have a phone tied to it, it wont work.  Is there something easier to do to accomplish this?  Thanks everyone!!!

You're on the right track, use a translation pattern for this, use the DN you want to match as DN or pattern and the called party transformation mask as what you want to translate it to, adjust your CSS and partitions as necessary.

Pretty sure if you google you'll find many examples and even videos on how to configure a TP, which is quite simple, but you need good understanding of your dial plan, CSS and partitions.
