Create cisco ip communicator soft phone cucm 11.5

Hi

I want to configure Cisco soft phone ip communicator user using device host name like "abcpc" not Mac address.

Can anyone guide me what is the configuration require in cucm 11.5

Actually I am looking for the configuration using device name "mypc10"

When I am trying to configure in cucm

"SEPmypc10" it is not taking

Please give suggestions

I am able to add that on my lab 11.5 CUCM, what error is being thrown when you try to add the device with that name? please attach a snapshot of that.Also for the device you are trying to add can you confirm if it's product type is Cisco IP Communicator.

Two footnotes here:
1) using anything other than MAC address is typically not supported by recording vendors, Calabrio - which Cisco OEMs - being one example.
2) the Endof Sale notice for CIPC has finally been published. I would not recommend investing time into it at this point; Jabber added multi-line support in 12.0.
