I need to create sip trunk on my router cisco 887VA, user and password are provided by the SIP provider and can not be changed.
The password provided are 64 char lenght !
when i create credentials on sip-ua with user and password a sip parse error occur and only first 63 char are stored, obviosly SIP REGISTER event generate a 401 error!
Is a bug of IOS or a max limit of password to store is 63 char ????

The max length showing it support upto 128 character. do you see parsing error whee you see only 63 character are being taken. can you please confirm me the IOS version you are using..not came across any feature defect or bug but certainly love to dig more to this
CUBE-GW(config-sip-ua)#credentials username msind password 7 1 realm cisco
Password length MUST be between 4 and 128
CUBE-GW(config-sip-ua)#credentials username test password 1 realm cisco
Password length MUST be between 4 and 128

Release 15.6.3M0a of IOS
Only first 63 chars are stored when command credentials send!
I think is a bug of IOS. I try test with other older IOS!
try release latest Version 15.4(3)M6a, same bug only first 63 char are stored
i see when store password it convert to type 7 encrypted password, chars of type 7 are 128 but correspond of 63 chars of plain text password that i send !!!!! then 128 chars is not password max lenght but chars of encrypted password???
