So we’re making some changes on our voip infrastructure. We’re upgrading from a 2921 to a 4321 at our main location. We also have another 4321 as a failover at a separate building
The engineer I’m working with upgraded the main 4321 to v17. Since it’s never been put in prod there’s no smart license on it. While I was working that out with TAC the tech said that I’ll need to upgrade my CUBE licenses from v12 to v14.
So here’s my question: I go into the mce site and I see that I have say qty 50 CUBE licenses. Do I upgrade all of them? Would those still work on the VGs that weren’t upgraded to v17 yet? Plus note that the 2921 is still in prod and is the main vg. Will that old vg impact the licenses at all?
As you can see I’m not at all familiar with any of this. Thanks in advance
