Can anyone assist with this question please.
Currently all of our inbound calls are delivered over SIP trunk to CUBE using G711Mulaw. We have however recently installed a 3rd party IVR system that can only use g711Alaw.
Internally a call to the IVR works fine, I had to enable SDP on the SIP trunk between CUCM and the IVR so that it wouldn't invoke MTP resource. However, externally calls have no audio when calling inbound.
The only way I can fix this is force the trunk between CUCM and 3rd party IVR to use MTP for every call. Not ideal at all.
Is there any way I can get the cube to use Alaw? I know you can use the voice-class codec command to specify a list of Codecs to use and apply this to the dial-peer, but can this be used without having DSP resource on the CUBE?
