CUC 8.6.2 Database Communication Error

Hi,

one of my customers have powered down their Virtual Machine incorrectly and when powering back up two things happened:

1. CUCM had some errors and prompted for a restore. This was resolved.

2. CUC is powering up fine, but when trying to log into the GUI, i am getting Database Communciation Error. This is my issue now.

on the CUC cli, there aren't any errors showing up. but if i do a utils service list, all the services are showing up as [STOPPED] Service Not Activated

is there anyway i can get these services started via the CLI? or is there anyway i can do a restore ?

CUC is probably in read-only.  I would re-spin the software and do a restore of your latest backup.

i did in fact have to reinstall, however, when trying to restore from my backups i getting an error when trying to restore the Connection Database.

ive tried different backups from different days and the same thing keeps occurring. looks like i will have to rebuild it too

Hi,

Please make sure that the IP address , hostname , DNS etc information is the same in the rebuilt server and the backup that you are trying to restore.

Hi, I had the same issue, I tried with restore disk some times but the error never disapear, then I had to go to the last Snapshot and then restore the database y ser disaster recovery. Do you have a snapshot and database backup? Regards.
