Hello,

When users decline a call , this call is forwarded to Unity Connection.

For Users witch have a voicemail, call is routed to user's voicemail.

For Users witch do not have voicemail , CUC play Greeting  "Hello From a touchtone telephone".

We would like to change this message by a busy audio file and hang up.

Witch greeting i must modify on witch call handler ?

I try to put personnal message on directory call handler, but it seems to not  be the good one.

Thanks for your help.

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Because Unity Connection doesn't recognize the DN's that don't actually have a mailbox on the system it sounds like it plays the Opening Greeting. This where you have to get creative.

If you look in CUCM Admin there is an area called Voicemail Profile. Feature > Voicemail > Voicemail Profile. This area allows you to configure a Profile that points to a specific DN/Voicemail Box or Call Handler. When you apply this Profile to DN's any call that forwards to the Voicemail System from these DN's will be directed to the specified Voicemail box or Call Handler.

Create a new Call Handler at any unused number let's say 1111 in our example and record the greeting you want.

So, for our example: let's say you want all calls that go to DN 2222 (that doesn't have VM) and are declined to go to the 1111 Call Handler (with your new greeting).

You would create a Profile in CUCM called "1111 No Mailbox or whatever" which points to DN 1111 (**Voicemail Box Mask = 1111). Apply this new profile to 2222 & others (under the DN config page VM-Profile) and when calls route through 2222 and forward to voicemail they will receive the 1111 Call Handler Greeting etc.

This new profile can be applied to all phones that have no mailbox on the system.

Cheers!

Rob
