Hi, all,

I am stuck in a call handler in CUC V10.5.

I configure a system call handler, what I want is when someone call it, caller will not hear greeting but call will route directly to ring a extension.

is that achievable?

thanks

Hi there

Go to the Call Handler >> Edit >> Transfer Rules > Edit transfer Rule (Standard/Closed/Alternate) >> Transfer Action >> Transfer Calls to Extension.

Hope this helps!

I did set it up as you posted, but it does not work.

when a call come to that handler, what I should select for "after standard greeting action"?

thx

Hi there

After Greeting Action >> Select the call handler and do the edit transfer rules as I posted in last chat.

Hope this helps!

Hi Rath,

after greeting action, I can select P

- call action (hang up, restart greeting, next call routing rule, etc)

-call handler, i.e. I can route it to another call handler.

-Interview handler

-Directory Handler

-conversation

-use mailbox ( attempt transfer, go directly to greetings.)

what I want is to automatic route to an extension in cucm.

then what I would select?

my version is V10.5.2

thank you very much!

Hi there

Is this a user with a mailbox, the go ahead and select the User with Mailbox (After Greeting)

Hope this helps!

Edit Standard Greeting >>

Is the extension you want to ring tied to a user or system call handler.   I believe I have done this before by after greeting access set to that user or call handler.

then under that user or call handler you just  has to ensure that the transfer rule is set to that number and not directly to greeting.

Thanks everyone!

that extension is not a user in CUC, it is a regular phone extension in cucm.

Hi there

It should work like this

  1. Create a Call Handler with extension (Ex:2013)
  2. Edit >> Transfer Rule >> Standard >> Transfer Calls To: Extension or URI (for Ex:2010)

or

  1. Create a Call Handler 1 with extension (Ex:2013)
  2. Create a Call Handler 2 (TranferTo2010) with extension (Ex:2010)
  3. Call handler 1 >> Edit Greeting >> Standard >> After Greeting >> Call Handler >> TranferTo2010

Hope this helps !!!

Cheers
Rath!

thanks everyone!

I figured out only way to make it work is to create an email user which has transfer rule to an cucm extension.

After greeting action in handler is to direct call to that email user.

thx.

Great happy to hear you got it working.
