Hey Hi folks,
I have 35 CP-8851 Phones and have CUCM 11.0.1 installed. I have found a bug in CUCM 11.0.1 for CP8851 phones. I have configured Auto Registration and ONLY 1 phone got registered.
Rest other phones are not registering.
Voice VLAN is configured on port.
Voice VLAN is defined on CP8851.
Manually IP configured.
In Status messages, 8851 phone displays File not found <MAC Address>.cnf.xml.sgn. (On all 3 CUCM's, installed latest firmware)
Check on Cisco Switch, IP is assigned to Phone as well.
Phone is stucked in "Phone is Registering" state.
Please suggest. Attached snap of IP Phone display.
regards,
Ritesh Desai.

Does working phone shows same vlan id as non working phones? Can TFTP ping back to the non working phone ip address?
Just check if DN range that you cofigured in CUCM is already in use or not?

Dear Deepak,
Thanks for interest shown.
Does working phone shows same vlan id as non working phones?
Yes, same VLAN ID. Manually configured Admin VLAN ID.
Can TFTP ping back to the non working phone ip address?
Thanks for hint. CIPC phones are pinging but Hard phones in voice vlan are not pinging. I have raised this request to Network team.
Just check if DN range that you configured in CUCM is already in use or not?
I have enabled Auto-registration. Many more extensions can be configured.

Ritesh Desai.

Dear Deepak and Jaime, How do I make sure SIP 8851 firmware sipxx.8851.11.0.1 is installed successfully on CUCM Pub and 2 subscribers.
Am suspecting TFTP problem, on Phone display it shows File No Found for MAC Address.
As you suggested whethe 8851 Phone IP is pinging from TFTP server. Yes, its pinging. Network have ICMP disabled.

Ritesh Desai.

Are you pointing to the right TFTP?
Can you download the phone config from a browser?
Have you already looked into any network issues?

Dear Jaime,
Are you pointing to the right TFTP?
TFTP IP Addresses are correct.
Can you download the phone config from a browser?
Port 80 is blocked. So, cannot answer.
Am still in guess where to check. 1 phone its working fine, rest not working.
At Switch side,
1. Port is configured well.
2. Voice VLAN is configured.
3. Switch can see MAC address, also is receiving IP address.
DHCP Side, MAC address is added to Trust list.
DHCP lease - Does not take. Manuall configure the Hard Phones.
regards,
Ritesh Desai.
