Hi All,

I have recently installed a new CUCM 11.5 SU4 cluster and the publisher server is reporting high Active Partiton usage. I cant see what would be causing this. Its not impacting operations. Is this anything to be concerned about?

Did you do anything to resolve this, I have the same on two new installs both 11.5.1 SU4?

Raise a TAC case for it.

also is there anything in the release notes that could indicate a cause?

Seeing this as well. Fresh installed base 11.5 today on a brand new BE7K, then manually upgraded to 11.5 SU5. All in one day, no configuration at all done yet.
Noted the disk usage when we installed 11.5 base at 91%, proceeded to upgrade and it went up to 92% and has stayed there.

Anyone find any resolution other than "it should be fine"?

Try Reinstalling the CUCM using OVA templates other than 1000 User One.

Did anyone ever find a solution for this? I have a fresh install of 11.5 SU4 with the same issue.

I installed version 11.5SU4 of CUCM for couple of customers and I never encountered this kind of problem.

I logged a TAC case and was advised that this is normal which I am finding very difficult to accept, this only seems to happen on the 1000 user OVA, my colleague has built 7500 user without these issues.
We had to lower the threshold on the RTMT alert to stop it reporting.
The response I got from TAC was the following.

To elaborate a bit more on the behaviour, some versions of CUCM use more
space than others, and that can vary by a few factors like the size of the
database, the OVA Template used to create the VM (some have more allocated
disk space than others) and the amount of configuration applied and number
of enabled logs. If CUCM approached 100% on that “active” partition it would
delete any unnecessary files to free up space.

++Moved the Alert to 2%.
I would suggest you to now move it to 1 % only.

Not ideal in my eyes but I have the above response from TAC to back it up.

The response I got from TAC is too generic , as the two systems we have had this issue with, one had very minor config added and the other no config at all just fresh install, so I do find this hard to accept.

Hi All,

I received a similar response from TAC that this was normal and expected behaviour. My CUCM has been in operation for over 2 months now and the active partition usage has not changed and there have been no operational issues.

I'd say monitor this through RTMT and if it is gradually increasing then there is something wrong.
