CUCM 7.1.3 to 8.6 Licensing

We are on the way to upgrade our CUCM/Unity 7.1.3 to 8.6, however I have some concern regarding the licensing, currently we are dealing with DLUs however 8.6 deals with per user, do DLUs be converted to per user after upgrade or not, and if yes how will be counted?

Hi Ali,

I did an upgrade recently from 7.x to 8.6. The licenses are still DLUs at the end when uploaded, though the licensing are based on workspace/user based. After upgrade you will get the same number of DLUs as in the previous version, but you will need to get feature license for the new version as this is a major upgrade. You can get temporary feature license from licensing team valid for two months.
