CUCM 8.0.2 BACKUP (CLUSTER MODE)

Hi

We have two CUCM in a cluster mode version 8.0.2

We need to perform a backup

The backup stop to be working after the completion the backup from the publisher

When start the backup for the subscriber then the backup crash

Below is screen shoot

My question is

is it ok the backup only from the publisher? Can we use only this backup , or we need also the backup from the subscriber

Its not supposed that the publisher will replicate the data to the subscriber?

NOTE:

THE BELOW SCREEN IS FROM THE PUBLISHER

Hi,

Backup will take the backup of the entire CUCM cluster. Just make sure that every node in the cluster is up and running while taking the backup

The Disaster Recovery System performs a cluster-level backup, which means that it collects backups for all servers in a Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster to a central location and archives the backup data to physical storage device.

Refer the below link for more information,

HI

As you can see from the screen shot the backup completed succesfully for , UCS01IST00 (Publisher), But for  UCS02IST00 (Subscriber) , the backup does not move forward.(crashing)..So my question is: Can we take only the .tar file from the  UCS01IST00  or we need the entire backup for both cucm nodes in the cluster.with only the first it will not be ok?

Something i am missing?

you might want to troubleshoot why is local agent showing down on the subscriber.

TBlshooting

from the publisher ssh

utils network host

do the same from from the subscriber sshd.

ensure dbreplication is good

utils network connectivity from the subscriber completes successfully.

if thats good, restart the DRF master and local agent services on the pub and sub..

once that is done.. run a manual backup and if it fails attach the DRF logs to the thread..

Hi,

From th escreenshot it looks like the Master and Agent services are not running on the subscriber, please restart these two services.

Note: You can try restarting the subscriber box if you are in maintaninace window.

and try taking one more backup and see if it helps.

You need a complete backup of the cluster, you will have the different options of restoring different nodes during Restore operation.

Thanks,

Anand
