CUCM 8.0 + Third Party Sip Phones

Hi,

Doing a new CUCM 8.0 implementation using third party sip phones.

Got a couple of questions regarding third party sip phones.

  1. Can third party sip phones use a normal dial plan using route patterns in CUCM pointing to Route List and Route Group.
  2. Can third party sip phones use MGCP gateways?
  3. If I point the sip phones proxy to the Publisher and it has a CUCM Group for that phones Device Pool of two SUBs, will the phones get that in their config?

Thanks,

Liam

1) Yes

2) Yes

3) The device will not register if it's manually pointed to the publisher (it will send it's REGISTER to the publisher) and the device pool only contains subscribers.  You would either have to change the CM Group to contain the publisher or point the device to a subscriber.
