CUCM 8 backup

Hi All

Is is possible to install a Symantec backup agent on a CUCM 8 server and let that handle the backup or do i have to use the build in backup to SFTP? i goes for Unity as well

Hi

No, you can't install any agents or other software. You can only use SFTP to back up, and then back up the files from there using whatever you like.

It's the same for Unity Connection.

Unity (legacy) is different as it runs on Windows and can support agents..

Hi,

You cannot install any SFTP Software on Call Manager server since it is customised Linux.

You need to use recommended SFTP Softwares like Cygwin,Titan .Can also use minicore and Freeftpd.
