CUCM 8 vs SIP Trunk

Hello everyone,

Someone knows how to check if a SIP trunk is registered in CUCM with any command cli or in RTMT? I have configured one today but the calls doesn´t work with "service unavailable" message.

AFAIK there is no way to see the status of the SIP trunk attached. bf all Gorup list are exhausted you will receive a Route List Alert telling you this: RouteListExhausted...but nothing more.

However you can monitor the activity on the turnk and trigger a custom alarm when having 0 active calls during some time of the day.

is this a call originating on CUCM, going out the SIP trunk?  (so egress from a cucm perspective).

I would advise you to always use Options Ping on the SIP profile of the relevant trunk, so the CUCM polls the status of your SIP trunk, and removes it as a viable option in routing a call, at leats until it comes back up.
