CUCM 9.1 Native Call Queuing

Hi Team,

I'm trying to configure a hunt pilot with the queuing feature.

Is there a way to put the caller in the queue even if no group member picks up the call?

Right now caller can only enter the queue only when a group membre is busy. When no group member answer, I only have the choice to send the call to another extension, or disconnect the call; no queuing.

Thanks

Hi Aubin,

No, there's not another way. Native queuing is limited, if you need a more complex queue you need UCCX.

Hi Aubin,

Yes you can, please review the following online documentation on this,

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/9_0_1/ccmcfg/CUCM_BK_CDF59AFB_00_admin-guide_chapter_0100101.html

The working explained by the blogger  Chris Dean as follows,

There is option available to play the initial announcement first and then offer a call to a hunt pilot. If the call is not answered by any of the line members, the caller is placed on hold (in queue) with an announcement provided periodically in addition to MoH. The second option involves offering the call to a hunt pilot DN first, and then place caller on hold (in queue) if the call is not answered. Again, an announcement is provided periodically in addition to MoH. When a line member becomes available to answer the next caller in the queue, the call that has been in the queue the longest is offered to line member. If the line member does not answer the call, the caller is placed back in the queue at the same position.

Hi,

This is how the Queuing section looks like with CUCM 9.1. it looks like Cisco made a change from 9.0 to 9.1.

When no hunt members ANSWER, are logged in, or registered: Either disconnect the call or route the call to a DN, maybe voicemail.

I still can't make the call go in the queue when no hunt members answer.

Any idea? any workaround?

Thanks

Hi Aubin,

You are right. Queuing feature changed from 9.0 to 9.1 .

There is a bug for the issue you are facing however: CSCuh18067
