CUCM Cluster different OVAs

Hi All,

I'm currently working on a CUCM 11.x cluster that has a publisher and 3 call processing/TFTP subscriber servers. I've noticed that the publisher is running on a host using a 2.2Ghz CPU with an OVA configuration that supports 1,000 users (2vCPU, 6GB vRAM and 1 x 80GB disk) and the subsribers are running on hosts using 2.5Ghz CPUs with OVA configuration that support 2,500 users (1vCPU, 6GB vRAM, 1 x 80GB disk)

There are no performance issues (~1500 endpoints), however, I'm sure that I've read somewhere that the publisher OVA shouldnt be smaller than the subscribers. Is this correct and should this configuration be a concern?

Thanks

Further down you find this statement, which goes back to the above link:

  • Cisco recommends using the same VM configuration for all nodes in a cluster. Mixing Unified CM VM configurations is allowed, but the cluster capacity might be limited. For more details, refer to the section on Mixing Unified CM VM Configurations.
